Since children’s eyes are still developing, the risk for eye disease is lower, making visits every 2 to 3 years often sufficient. However, if your family has a history of ocular conditions or you wear glasses yourself, annual exams can keep track of your child’s eyes as they grow.
There is not much your child needs to do to prepare for their eye exam. If they’re already wearing glasses or contacts, remember to bring them.
