Let’s Get Down to Optics

If you’re looking for an eye doctor near Salem, we’d love to welcome you to Marblehead Ophthalmology, led by Dr. Andrew Orenberg.

A board- certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Orenberg is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS).

Dr. Orenberg is proud to continue Dr. Leon Remis’s legacy of caring for the North Shore’s vision for over three decades.

From Cataracts to Dry Eyes

Going to the eye doctor isn’t just about getting glasses or contacts. Regular appointments can detect early signs of eye conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, which may not have symptoms initially.

Early detection allows for timely treatment, preserving your vision and overall eye health for the long term. We believe our patients should feel empowered to be proactive about their eye health when they come to Marblehead Ophthalmology. We make sure that you always leave with a better understanding of what’s going on with your eyes.

About Emface

As we age, sagging skin and drooping eyelids can impact our vision by causing eyelids to droop or covering the eyes partially. This condition, known as ptosis, reduces peripheral vision and can lead to eyestrain or headaches.

Surgery used to be the only option for dealing with this condition. However, with Emface, we can treat the condition earlier and without surgery. Emface is an innovative device that lifts and tightens loose skin noninvasively.

By delivering controlled energy to targeted areas, Emface enhances collagen production and tightens the skin. The device’s non-invasive approach lifts and firms the face, which also reduces wrinkles and promotes a youthful appearance with minimal downtime.

About Exion

As an eye doctor near Salem, we see a lot of patients for dry eye disease. Dry eye disease results from insufficient tear production or poor tear quality, causing discomfort, irritation, and blurred vision.

Factors like aging, environmental conditions, and certain medications contribute to chronic dry eyes. With Exion, we can help our patients treat their dry eyes with the power of radiofrequency energy.

By gently heating the skin around the eye, Exion dissolves any oily substances that might obstruct the meibomian glands. This restores the regular function of these glands and allows them to release oil into your tears, easing dry eye symptoms.

Additionally, the Exion device provides wonderful aesthetic benefits. It reduces the appearance of wrinkles and can help you look more refreshed and youthful.
